What we Offer.

Whenever the problem at hand allows us to do so, our user-oriented work process starts at the very beginning of the project, and includes a sequence of tasks that guarantee optimal results: understanding of users and client (research and analysis phase); production of intervention alternatives by means of low fidelity prototypes, interaction design and user testing; completion of the interfaces' visual design; and production of usability guidelines. All of these tasks are completed in close cooperation with the client, end users and developers, allowing ideas to be constantly developed and improved, and performing an effective and fluent job.

Another principle guiding our work is to resolve problems about current applications and products focusing our attention on the end users. In these cases, we are able to:

  • Estimate the usability level by means of several techniques such as heuristic evaluation and user testing, among others.
  • Identify key points to work on in order to improve our previous measurings.
  • Position products in relation to other similar and/or competition products by means of benchmarking studies.
  • Define re-design and adjustment plans for future versions.

The analysis phase is an essential stage for the exploration, discovering and identification of intervention possibilities. We approach users in order to understand how they relate to the specific contexts, and identify the processes they use in real scenarios. At this point, we are also interested in getting to know how they feel and think. We strive to find out what their needs and motivations are with regards to the problem at hand, and try to identify what is important and significant for them so as to be able to foresee the impact that the solution could have on their lives.

During the concept design phase, different intervention options are defined and re-defined through the use of low fidelity prototypes (screen schemas) and periodic meetings with clients, end users and the entire work team.

It is at this validation point when the tools' content architecture and the navigation flows are defined, and when the main interactions are designed, working in close collaboration with the technical teams and everybody else concerned.

Users find applications with nice designs easier to use. Careful selection and implementation of formal resources also help to establish a clear hierarchy of information, and to achieve an attractive visual design supporting and promoting the business' visual identity.

Interface design work involves the work of visual and web designers in charge of providing tools with their final look and performance. At this point, we focus on coherence and consistency in the deployment and use of graphic and interactive elements.

Work Method.

We work together with the architecture and development teams from the very beginning of each project. Experience tells us that the best way to anticipate and avoid problems is to look at, listen to and understand the reality of each business and its end users from an early stage.

We work together with the development teams using flexible work methods. At this point, we focus on defining the backlog, and making specific decisions within the framework of regular sprint meetings. Here, our work includes developing tasks that are adopted and implemented in future sprints. This is the reason why we usually say that we work "one sprint ahead" in relation to the developers' adoption.

We share the same sprint meetings (demos, retrospectives and plannings) with the project's technical masters, the clients and stakeholders.

Transference.

Our transference service consists of passing our knowledge and experience on to our clients, adapting our workshop contents and methods to each particular case.

By "transference" we mean the creation of content adapted to our clients' specific needs by means of dynamics and practices that make the integration of content quick and simple. We use real examples and case studies from our implementation teams and experienced trainers, who use the relevant technologies on a daily basis.

Finally, "transference" also implies the subsequent follow-up for a fast kickoff of the contents. Identifying the right timing for a much needed traditional training, workshop or coaching based on the reality of each client or project is of crucial importance.
